Numbers
Rulebase Summary
Use figures for all house numbers except the number one, which is always spelled out. Numbered street names from one to ten are spelled out, while numbered street names above ten are written as figures.
Examples
A. I live at 1 Birch Court.
A. I live at One Birch Court.
The house number one is the only house number spelled out.
A. The office is at 450 5th Avenue.
A. The office is at 450 Fifth Avenue.

Transcript Notes
In writing addresses, use figures for all house numbers EXCEPT 'one' (which is spelled out: spell out the word for house number one). For numbered street names from one to ten, use words. For numbered street names over ten, use figures. A hyphen is usually used between the house number and the street number when a directional word does not intervene.
